Our children were growing up and my son was away at college.
                        We were free to come and go and I thought  it would be a good time to be dog-free.
                       I continued to have that horrible empty feeling  when no red fluff-ball came wagging up to greet me.
               However, my best friend,  Reba Donnelly  surprised me with a new Chow puppy.
                    It was a total surprise.  I was reading the paper  my daughter went out for a “driving lesson.”
                  When she returned I looked  up to see how the lesson had gone and
                         there was a Chow puppy standing in the living room.
                       I did a double take and  the  cutest little puppy I had ever seen, ran right into my arms.
                 She was 10 weeks old at the time.
                      Right from the start, it was apparent she was the most  special of all the Chows I had owned.
                      She was smart, affectionate and a perfect soul-mate.  I was single at the time and
                    I took her flying in my small airplane, camping in the woods where she snored so loud,
                    I never worried about anyone bothering me.  She sounded like a man was sleeping in my tent.
        She made up to all I made up to and ignored those I ignored.
               She will always be in my heart  as all my wonderful Chows are,but in a very special place.
             When I met and married my husband Dan, I have never been quite sure if he married me
           because of me or because he loved Kismet so much.

                    
          
                   

                           In honor of her memory,
                    we have chosen to name our
                  kennel after her and all
